1. Who we are & acceptance
ClipShot (the “Service”) — the ClipShot apps for iOS and macOS, the website clipshot.io, and the ClipShot API — is operated by InfoDesk AS, org. no. 922 255 970, Langes gate 8, 3210 Sandefjord, Norway (“we”, “us”). By using the Service you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The service
ClipShot lets you capture and share screenshots, screen recordings and files through short-lived links. Clips are ephemeral by design: they are permanently deleted after their first view (default), after a time limit you choose (max 30 days), or after 30 days at the latest — whichever comes first. Deletion is irreversible; we keep no copies and no backups of clip content.
The Service requires no account and is currently free of charge. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
3. Your content & responsibility
You retain all rights to the content you upload. You grant us the limited technical right to store, transmit and display that content solely to operate the Service. You are responsible for what you upload and share, and you confirm that you have the necessary rights to it.
Anyone who has a clip's link can view it while it is alive. Treat share links as secrets and only send them to intended recipients.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to upload or share content that is illegal under Norwegian law or the law of your jurisdiction — including content that infringes intellectual-property rights, child sexual abuse material, malware, or content used for harassment, fraud or phishing. You must not attempt to breach, probe or overload the Service's security or infrastructure, or use it to distribute spam.
We may remove content and block devices, API keys or traffic that violate these rules, without notice. Where the law requires it, we cooperate with competent authorities.
5. API terms
Use of the ClipShot API requires an API key issued by us. Keys are personal to the integration they were issued for and must be kept confidential. We may set and change rate limits, and may revoke keys that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or remain unused. API responses, including delete_token values, must be stored securely by your application. The API is provided “as is” and may change with reasonable notice at clipshot.io/developers.
6. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes what little data we process and why — no accounts, no tracking SDKs, no sale of data. It forms part of these Terms.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including the apps, website, API, ClipShot name and logo, is owned by InfoDesk AS and protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks or brand assets without written permission.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Because clips are ephemeral, we specifically do not warrant that content will remain available for any period — do not use ClipShot as storage or backup. A clip that has expired or been deleted cannot be recovered by anyone, including us.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, InfoDesk AS shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total aggregate liability shall in any case be limited to NOK 1,000 or the amount you paid us in the last 12 months, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or on the website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes shall be resolved by the ordinary Norwegian courts with Vestfold District Court as the agreed venue, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to another venue.
